WCG Hosts Wetland Site Tour

Councillors, Water Executives and Senior Water Engineers attended a tour, hosted by WCG, of three high performance wastewater wetland systems.

The tour included the award winning West Byron STP which has a new generation constructed wetland and innovative reuse system followed by South Lismore STP which has a trickling filter, pond and constructed wetland system that is outperforming the recently upgraded East Lismore BNR Treatment Plant and finally the Casino STP which has a facultative pond followed by a wetland system.

The three systems provided participants a solid understanding of the application of wetland technology to a range of wastewater treatment situations. Information about performance, design, cost-effectiveness and technical applicability was presented.

Water And Carbon will be hosting similar events in the future. If your team is interested in understanding the application of high performance wetlands to wastewater treatment please contact WCG.
